“It Still Moves”, their third album, was released in May 2016 and was the first to break into the US top albums lists. Many fans consider this album to contain My Morning Jacket’s best work, which often makes its tracks popular additions to their live performances. The song “Run Thru” was even included in Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitar Songs” list. And it was also the first album appearance of drummer Patrick Hallahan, as well as the final appearances of guitarist Johnny Quaid and keyboardist Danny Cash.
“Evil Urges”, My Morning Jacket’s fifth studio album, was released on June 10, 2008. And it was the first album to break into the top ten of US charts. The album was even nominated for the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
Circuital, the followup sixth studio album, was released on May 31, 2011. And it had positive reviews and sold 55,000 copies in the first week of release. It raced up the charts and debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200. And it went on to peak at #1 on the independent albums chart, #3 on the rock albums chart, and #3 on the alternative albums charts. As of April 2015, it had sold an incredible 208,000 copies.
