My Morning Jacket is an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster.

The band has a sound that is rooted in rock and country traditions and comes off as experimental and psychedelic. With a style that creates very cool and wild listening experiences during live shows and a unique sound that you won’t find on most radio broadcasts. As such, the band quickly found a following, especially during the 2000’s when they started making their best live performances.
